Joe was a such great bloke and there was always plenty of laughs when he was around. I always remember us being on the front line at the miners strike in 1984, which was the same time that the Ghostbusters film was released and the theme tune was really popular.

 We were standing on the line facing the miners, it was really tense and then suddenly one of the Bobbys started singing the Ghostbusters song . We all joined really loud.

It was just so funny and the atmosphere changed completely, with the miners just looking at each other mumbling, “who the bloody hells Joe Foster?
